My Workout Routine has been Compromised for 2 Weeks. It Sucks
It’s affected my sleep, my moods, the way I eat, and, most importantly, my writing.
Randi Zuckerberg calls it the Entrepreneur’s Dilemma:
Maintaining friendships. Building a great company. Spending time w/family. Staying fit. Getting sleep.
Pick 3.
And ever since I started this writing challenge, I’ve had to pick 3 out of 6!
- Maintaining friendships
- Building a great company
- Spending time w/family
- Staying fit
- Getting sleep
- Creating
Prior to embarking on this challenge, my life has been 2, 4, and 5. Now, with 6 thrown into the mix, I find myself choosing between writing and working out. When I do attend bootcamps, spinning, and get a bout of climbing in, and come home to write, my sleep suffers.
Not being able to exercise every day has been devastating.
- The quality of my sleep has suffered
- I’m more tempted to eat junk food
- I feel moody and my self-esteem is at an all-time low
- Hell, I’m even writing in point-form!
The way my body is digesting food has been terrible too! So, I’ve been dealing with this is ingesting apple cider vinegar by the gallons. I don’t even know why I’m telling you this!
Anyway, I need to get back to exercising. I used to think that my work (№2) is the non-negotiable. But it’s clear now that №4 is the immovable point of my life. Lots of articles talk about the benefits of regular exercise so I think you can go read how important it is.
Will I look like I’ve given up on my challenge if I try to strike some balance between my writing and my exercise?
